After my post about my ridiculously simple insane-asylum like home office, there were some requests for a shot of my bedroom. And being the gracious host that I am, I wanted to provide a few for you. As I mentioned in that post, I have 4 things in my bedroom – a bed, a dresser, and 2 bedside tables. It’s very simple and clutter-free and sans any distractions, making it easy to fall asleep at night. So without further ado, here is what my bedroom looks like…

Nothing too exciting, heh? Told you it was simple and basic. 😉 But a bedroom this simple does something very well – it helps me relax, fall asleep, and then spend some time thinking in the morning. What more could you want from a bedroom?

Very nice, I’m in the process of trying to get myself into the habit of minimizing sleeping distractions, but its a daunting task!
Thank you for sharing the pictures. It is very tranquil and very clean. Wondering if there is a closet too? Or does all the clothing fit into the dresser?

Very peaceful and serene. Love the white walls and bedding. 🙂
That door to the left of the bed is a walk-in closet that holds my hanging clothes and shoes. 🙂
Do you like pictures? I would love to see your bedroom from a year ago.
I LOVE IT.
It’s exactly like how I picture my own bedroom to be, except I sleep on a Japanese futon on the floor, not on a bed.
I love it! I just hung pictures on my bedroom walls to please my husband, but I would be perfectly happy with bare walls too.
About your bedding. You might think about how many pillows you need night and day, sleeping and reading. A bottom sheet and comforter cover is all you really need; you don’t need a top sheet. In the winter, flannels are nice. All this will make wash day much easier.
Okay, I really, really have been decluttering, but I have never thought of color as necessarily a problem in a minimalist lifestyle. Are you equating color with clutter? I’m curious.
I love it! I want to minimize my room too, except I have too much crap. I at least want to “hide” it better, though it will require getting new furniture.
