It’s time for another roundup of 10 items to leave my house this week! This is the fourth week of the 10 Things Challenge and I could not be happier with both my own progress and that of the readers who are doing their own version of the challenge at their house. Want to participate? Round up 10 things each week and get them out of the house, and then stop by on Wednesday (when these weekly posts go live) and let us all know what you got rid of. Encouragement breeds encouragement, so let’s keep it going! As for me, here are the (more than) 10 items I am getting rid of this forth week of the challenge, and where I am sending each one of them:
1. Weird hippie bag ->Goodwill.
2. Cassette case with 65 1980’s hair metal cassettes ->Free box
3. Box of CFL bulbs. I have plenty to spare, so hopefully someone else can use them ->Free box
4. Ugly messenger bag->Free box
5. Old gym bag ->Free box
6. 40 GB Single Tuner Tivo box ->Not sure
7. 2 Tivo Remotes ->Not sure
8. Charger for no-longer-owned Canon digital camera battery ->Free Box
9. 2001 New Mexico/Arizona Tour book ->Library
10. Career Changing for Dummies book ->Library

So, there you have it – 10 more things leaving my house less cluttered. What 10 things are you getting rid of this week?
What do you mean when you put “free box”? Usually that makes me think of a garage sale box of items up for grab, do you have a perpetual free box someplace? Be back later with My Ten.
Yes – at our recycling center, there is a little hut where you can drop off your free stuff, and those in need can come by and get whatever they want.
I’ll be doing my regular 10 tomorrow, but today I am getting rid of more than 10 things – the recycling! We have a houseguest coming tonight and that’s motivating me to get our recycling down to the garage (we’re in an apartment) – it’s been piling up for a while, so there’s a LOT of it!

I am SO looking forward to being untethered from this detritus.
Time for me to start with this challenge I guess. Just posted my 10 things on my site. http://deborahkunzie.com/blog/blog/080909100625/10-Things-Challenge.htm
Thanks for doing this!
For the second week in a row I’ve scoured my home for 10 items to purge. Sad to say, it wasn’t that difficult!….even after two years of on-and-off clutter-busting. Thanks for the inspiration. This week, I got rid of kids clothes, two remotes, a picture frame, a quarter map, a high school shirt, a bag of scrapbooking supplies, a pkg. of Christmas ornament hooks and some virtual clutter: I deleted bookmarked sites I no longer visit and I unsubscribed to numerous email newsletters. Ahhhh……feeling much lighter and more organized. If you wish, feel free to check out my blog where I’ve written a bit about my purging. And thanks again for the inspiration.
You are welcome, and glad to hear that it’s working for you!
Thanks for sharing Deborah!
I just discovered your 10 Things Challenge. I have a really hard time purging because I put emotional attachments on “things” but I really need to do this so I’m going to get started this week. Thanks for the inspiration!
I’m going to start this weekend! Thanks for the inspiration.
